一．教材内容分析
本篇课文以介绍新加坡入手，从地理位置、人口、语言、食物、旅游景点、气候等方面展开话题。它是学生对Section A中所学知识的巩固与拓展，也是对Grammar Focus的实际运用。学生在对文章进行整体和细节阅读后，运用做读后笔记的阅读技巧，帮助同学们最大限度记牢文章内容，提高阅读效率。
二．学情分析
本单元是讲解现在完成时态的第二个单元，也是Section B的第二个课时,学生对现在完成时态有了一定的掌握。新加坡是一个大家比较熟知的国家，篇章理解起来没有太大难度。所以如何使学生的知识内化，引导学生以写和说的形式来进行输出是本堂课的关键。 三. 教学目标

本课设计以学生为主体，以探索去新加坡旅行的原因为主线，采取整体阅读和细节阅读的方法，层层分析理解文章。并在阅读理解后，采取做读后笔记和小组讨论的方式，化输入为输出，提高学生语言运用能力。 五．教学重难点 1. 教学重点：
1) 学生通过问卷调查、课前信息搜集等方式，以多种途径了解新加坡。 2) 学会用整体阅读的方法提炼出文章介绍新加坡的几个方面。 2. 教学难点：
1) 学会用读后笔记的形式记录归纳所学知识。 2) 运用读后笔记，从多方面介绍新加坡。 六．教学手段
使用实物、黑板、电脑等多媒体辅助教学。
