摘要：A process for the production of expanded polystyrene comprises use of di-tert.-amyl peroxide as one peroxide initiator. A process for the production of expandedpolystyrene (EPS) comprises polymerization of styrene, optionally together with up to 20wt.% of comonomers in an aqueous suspension in the presence of at least two organicperoxides (A) and (B) that decompose at different temperatures. Peroxide (A) has a halflife of one hour at 80-100 degrees C and (B) has a half life of one hour at 110-150degrees C. (B) is di-tert.-amyl peroxide.
