南京也是一个环境优美的城市，由于它处于长江下游沿岸，故而它有高山有深水，有平原有丘陵，江湖兼具气候温和，植物种类繁多，环境优美而不单一。这不仅体现在旺盛的旅游业上，更体现在那随处可见的名胜古迹上。在南京随便走一走看一看，你都可以了解到许多有名的历史人物或故事。孙权、王羲之、郑和诸多典故，让你可以揣摩，可以凭吊，可以悠远遐想而玩赏梅园新村、总统府、玄武湖等又能让你领略到各种不同的神韵和风采。比如在紫金山登高望远，观测天文，你能体会那种会当临绝顶，一览众山小的豪情；夫子庙的各种小吃，又能让你了解到各地的风俗人情，品味各民族在南京荟萃融合和差异，状元楼的观瞻又能让你体会到古时科举制度的森严，深刻体会范进中举式的辛酸和悲哀；总统府的参观又能触发你更加热爱新中国的情怀
